Cyanotypes

The cyanotype process involves coating paper with a light-sensitive solution and then placing a negative of the desired image on top of the paper. The paper is then exposed to ultraviolet light, causing the light-sensitive solution to react and create an image. The resulting image is typically a deep blue color, which gives cyanotypes a distinctive look. Cyanotypes can also have a dreamy, ethereal quality due to their blue color and the nature of the process, which can add an emotional depth to a self-portrait.
